Last updated: 19 August 2026

This notice explains how we handle personal data collected through this page, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). This is a pre-launch page: its only purpose is to let you register your interest in The One Thing and be notified when it opens.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Fatamorgana Srl, registered office at Via Giosuè Carducci 185/A, 97100 Ragusa (RG), Italy - VAT no. 01806180889.

You can contact us at any time at info@fatamorganasrl.com or on +39 0932 681803.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to do so.

This site uses Plausible Analytics to measure visits in aggregate form - without cookies, without identifying anyone and without profiling; the data stays within the European Union.

Il sito usa Plausible Analytics per misurare le visite in forma aggregata, senza cookie, senza identificare le persone e senza profilazione; i dati restano nell'Unione europea.

3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

Providing your email is entirely voluntary. If you prefer not to, you simply won't be notified at launch; nothing else changes.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

This page uses no advertising or analytics cookies, and no advertising pixels. Visits are measured by a third-party script (Plausible Analytics) that sets no cookies and does not identify the visitor.

This page keeps those four advertising parameters in your browser's local storage, so that where you came from is not lost if you come back later. They contain no identifier, and if you choose to submit the form they reach us together with your email address. You can clear them at any time from your browser settings.

Typefaces are served from this site itself. No font, script or stylesheet is fetched from Google or any other third party, so no outside server sees your IP address because of how these pages look.

5. Who else may see your data

Your data is never sold, rented or shared for anyone else's marketing purposes. It is accessible to:

Because Netlify is based in the United States, your data is transferred outside the European Economic Area. The transfer is protected by the safeguards set out in Chapter V GDPR, including Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your email address until The One Thing launches and we have contacted you, and in any case no longer than 24 months from the date you submit it - or until you withdraw your consent, whichever comes first. Server logs are kept briefly for security purposes and then deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you have the right to: obtain access to your data; have it corrected; have it erased; restrict or object to its processing; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@fatamorganasrl.com or call +39 0932 681803. We will reply within one month.

If you believe your data has been handled unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of the country where you live.

8. Changes to this notice

We have added a cookie-less analytics tool (Plausible Analytics, described in sections 2, 4 and 5) and updated this notice accordingly. If we add further analytics or advertising tools, we will update this notice again and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent beforehand.
